Role Summary/Purpose
The Quality Engineer will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals and targets on top of simplify and improve processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will leverage your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop lean processes and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to impact short-term and some long-term business goals
Essential Responsibilities
• Prioritize and implement multiple concurrent process improvement projects, alone or as part of a multifunctional team, to drive customer satisfaction and business productivity
• Analyze production and service limitations, then develop, implement, and evaluate quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques to track the progress of improvement efforts
• Oversee evaluation of test equipment, precision measurements, accuracy measurements, and performance testing
• Work with Material Review Board to disposition nonconforming material and develop containment and corrective actions through TOPS8D and 5 whys.
• Work with NPI teams to approve new suppliers of materials/ services used in product realization and qualify their processes;
• Work with Sustaining Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Sourcing to resolve quality issues related to existing suppliers
• Conduct training on quality assurance concepts, specifications and monitoring tools
• Collect, organize, and analize process informations and data for the Company and upon customers, supplier requests in order to drive a continuous improvement and Customer focus
• Specify, develop and accept advanced technology, quality related information and test equipment
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards new product introduction involving new processes or advanced automated equipment and provide a provide a state of the art quality engineering approach
• Act as consultant with authority when related to the quality standard application and towards each Company representative
• Inclusive approach to always involve manufacturing and engineering organizations to improve Quality and Manufacturing processes
